(2017, Chile/Japan/France) Directed and written by Alejandro Jodorowsky.
Cast: Adan Jodorowsky, Pamela Flores, Brontis Jodorowsky, Lenadro Taub, Alejandro Jodorowsky, Adonis.

The (outrageous) Chilean Renaissance director known for his comic books, poetry, novels, stint as a guru, and perhaps best of all, for his cult midnight movie El Topo, has delivered a new shock. Now in his 80s, Alejandro Jodorowsky has made a film that is more accessible – and poignant – than anything he has ever created. The autobiographical tale stars his son Adan, who plays a young man at odds with his strict father because of his quest to become a poet. Which brings him to the Fellini-esque demimonde of Santiago in the 1940s and 50s, where he is torn between wanting his father’s approval, and the attentions of a flame-haired siren who sweet-talks him with lines like ‘Every time we walk together, I will keep hold of your private parts!’ 128 min
“We are not worthy of Jodorowsky: we never have been.” – Tara Brady, Irish Times.
