(Venezuela 2014) Written and directed by Fina Torres, based on the play by Jane Chambers.
Cast: Patricia Velasquez, Eloisa Maturen, Mimi Lazo, Danay Garcia.

September’s Second Thursdays film, presented by OUT Film CT, was one of the hits of Hartford’s 2015 LGBT Festival in June. Every year, Liz, a hardcore party girl (Patricia Velasquez of The L Word), celebrates her birthday at a lesbian beach retreat in Venezuela. This year is different, as she is suffering from a terminal illness, and hiding it from her friends. When a woman named Eva is stranded when her car breaks down in the nearby village, Liz comes to the rescue, inviting the (by all accounts) straight woman to the resort, with seduction in mind.
“Fina Torres demonstrates the same delicately sensual touch she first revealed in her 1985 debut, Oriana” – Hollywood Reporter. 93 min.
